Articlo help

Every week, Articlo prepares your blog plan from your catalog, writes the articles in your brand's voice and publishes them on your store, in one to four languages. Here is how to use it.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Install Articlo and choose a plan. Install the app from the Shopify App Store and approve the subscription: the 7-day free trial includes 3 articles. Articlo is shown in French or in English, depending on the language of your Shopify admin.
  2. Describe your brand. In Settings, fill in the brand description, target audience and tone. Paste something you wrote (About page, newsletter…): the AI imitates its style without copying it. Enter the author name shown on articles, ideally a real person on your team.
  3. Choose your languages. Still in Settings, choose the primary language, the second language and, if you like, up to two additional languages. Also add and publish each language in Shopify (Settings › Languages): Articlo then saves it as a translation of the article.
  4. Turn on the theme app embed. In Articlo's dashboard, “Technical SEO” box, click “Open Articlo SEO in the theme editor”: the theme editor opens on the “Articlo SEO” app embed; turn it on, then click Save. You can also go to Online Store › Themes › Customize › App embeds. The embed adds structured data (article, FAQ, breadcrumbs) and the callout styles to article pages; it collects nothing about visitors.
  5. Generate the week's plan. In Editorial plan, click “Generate the week's plan”. Topics drawn from your catalog, the season and your published articles usually appear within a minute.
  6. Have the articles written. Click “Write article” on a topic. Writing takes a few minutes: source research, writing, adaptation into your other languages and image. For a custom article, select one to six products in Products, then More actions › Create an article with Articlo.
  7. Review, edit, schedule. “Review and approve” shows the article in each language, its SEO score and its sources. Change the text with “Edit text”, or describe the changes you want and click “Revise article”. Then “Approve and schedule”: the article goes live on your blog on the planned date.
  8. Track the results. The dashboard and each published article show visits, add to carts and purchases. Google clicks, positions and keywords will be added through the optional Google Search Console connection, once it is available in Settings.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an AI key?

No. The AI engines are configured on our servers and included in the subscription.

Are articles published without my approval?

Not by default. Each article waits for your approval before it is scheduled. You can turn on automatic publishing in Settings if you wish.

Where does the information in the articles come from?

Articlo searches reliable web pages on the topic, links each fact to its source and lists the sources, numbered, at the end of the article. Always review an article before it is published: AI can make mistakes.

How many articles can I publish?

Depending on your plan, 8 to 50 articles per 30-day period. An article counts once, whatever its number of languages; planning, guided revisions and translation updates are not counted.

Which languages does Articlo write in?

French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese, up to four languages per article. Each language is adapted, not translated word for word.

Can I edit an article that is already published?

Yes, in Articlo (“Edit text”, then “Update on Shopify”) or directly in Shopify. If you edit it in Shopify, Articlo no longer overwrites it without your consent.

What happens to my articles if I uninstall Articlo?

Published articles stay on your store: they belong to you. Articlo's data is deleted 48 hours after uninstallation, at Shopify's request.

What data does Articlo use?

Your catalog, your settings and your blog's aggregated statistics, never your customers' data. Everything is detailed in our privacy policy.
